James E. Taylor High School
To meet the growing needs of the Katy community, Pieper worked on a total power and lighting renovation, fire alarm systems, sound systems and structured cabling at James E. Taylor High School.
Our role involved consolidating four existing power distribution switchboards into one switchboard over spring break. We had two crews working around the clock for six days, and we also removed the bus duct lateral from the CenterPoint Energy transformer and installed 500 amps of power via raceway and cable.
The school is composed of several one- and two-story buildings, including a natatorium, science labs, classrooms, shop areas, a library and more. With the majority of the work finished in summer 2012, the entire project was completed in summer 2013.
