University of Houston – Clear Lake

Pieper has begun work on the new $65.7 million STEM and Classroom Building at the University of Houston – Clear Lake campus, which broke ground in March. When completed, the 121,575 square feet building will provide state of the art classrooms, research labs and offices dedicated to the study of science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Pieper’s team will handle the installation of the main electrical systems, fire alarms, primary power duct and the cabling from CenterPoint Energy throughout the building, which includes two-story and three-story sections. In addition to the labs and classrooms, the STEM building will also house a tiered lecture hall that seats 100, and an astronomy observation deck. The project is scheduled to be completed in July 2018.
