Carnegie Vanguard International High School
Replacing an old, outdated building, the new Carnegie Vanguard International High School is a two-story, 84,500 sq. ft. building for 500 gifted and talented students. With the goal of becoming LEED Gold certified, the school features a green roof that serves as an outdoor teaching area.
Working with Turner Construction and RdlR Architects, Pieper’s responsibilities included the electrical distribution, lighting and lighting controls arrangements prior to erecting. Pieper was challenged to in-bed electrical lighting, power and fire alarm infrastructure in the specific concrete panels for several areas of the building, and our hard work paid off! The school was completed right on time for the 2012 – 2013 school year.
