Creekside YMCA

On June 5, 2010, the South Montgomery County opened its Outdoor Adventure Center in Creekside Park. This 21-acre recreation location includes a 14,000-square-foot lodge, tipi village, tree houses, outdoor theatre, elevated walkways, ropes course and more.

As the electrical contractor and design engineer for the Creekside YMCA, Pieper used its creativity to work around the existing creek and keep the beautiful foliage intact. Even when the creek overflowed, the Pieper team worked in standing water just to make sure the site had all the electrical outlets and outdoor lamps it needed. And that was just the day camp – Pieper also supplied the exposed timber lodge with power.
