Clarewood House

The Clarewood House is a non-profit retirement community that has been serving the greater Houston area since 1963. Pieper and Brookstone Construction teamed up to take on an extensive, six-part multiphase renovation to make the retirement community more functional, comfortable and safe for all of its residents. The project took 24 months to complete all renovations, including a brand new state-of-the-art kitchen and medical wing. In addition to the internal renovations, Pieper installed an extensive landscape lighting system.

“The real challenge of this project was working around the existing facility,” said Pieper’s Project Manager for Clarewood House, John Burkhart. “It’s definitely a team effort and we worked hard with Brookstone to make sure everything remained 100% functional and safe for the Clarewood House residents and staff.”

“During the initial punch walk, the lighting levels in the addition were significantly lower than required by the state regulatory agency. Pieper stepped up and not only found the correct solution, but also worked quickly to provide it as a no-cost option for the owner before the situation became an issue.”
