School is Never Out

Even after our apprentices complete their apprenticeship at the Independent Electrical Contractors of Houston (IEC), their education continues. At Pieper, they start a new phase in learning because school is never out. Each day is an opportunity to better yourself with knowledge, patience, leadership and compassion.

Did you know that each journeyman must maintain his or her Texas Electrical License by enrolling in an eight-hour continuing education program each year? Pieper provides this training, as well as 30 hours of OSHA training for all of our foremen and 10 hours of OSHA training for all of our Journeymen.

Did you know that the National Electrical Code (NEC) is more than 1,300 pages and is updated every three years? We provide code review and blueprint reading instruction so our Foremen and Journeymen understand the entire project, not just the electrical. We study everything, from civil to structural and everything in between.
